I did good during the day but blew up at night again. I did not eat totally horrible or binge on junk, but I did not count my points. For dinner I ate a large handful of peanuts, three pieces of 1 point turkey sticks, and some Calzone. It was a yummy dinner but I have no idea how many points I ate and if you don’t know how many points you have eaten then you are not on program. I was not on program. The guilt hit me pretty good for a while. I was feeling pretty bad because I could have just counted my points and all would have been well. This means I have not been doing great on weight watchers now for about 5 days.
I did have a great hill workout last night though. Things went well but it was just as hard as the last time I dabbled in the hills. I did a lot better this time and was able to keep up my pace at around 6:30-40 miles for about .35 miles each rep. This was a big improvement over the last episode of hills. Man was it hard though. My legs just burned like mad and I was breathing up a storm. HAHAHA
Good on one aspect of health and not so good on the other. So goes the journey for jason.
The good news is that sometimes it works out even when you don’t know the pts. I recently got back from Disney World where counting points is 100% impossible. I did my best. I ate a lot of salads. I did not once eat a mouse ear ice cream. There was a burger involved, but we’ll glaze over that. When I got home I was down 1/2 lb. That’s not significant or anything. But sometimes life doesn’t let us count and it turns out ok anyway.
Lara- It is crazy how that works sometimes. What a welcome blessing it is though.
Some questions about running and WW – whenever you have time.
Background: I have about 15 more pounds to lose. I am training for a half marathon. I am a slow runner at about 10:30 per mile. Currently my weekly mileage is about 20 miles (Running outside 3 days a week and cross training on elipical or stationery bike 4 days a week) My longest run so far is 9 miles. I earn about 40-45 Activity Pts. per week.
Questions:
When you were in the process of your big loss did you eat your Activity points?
What worked best for your running and weight loss?
Did you keep a blog back then? I would love to go back and read the entries during your weight loss.
How do you take care of your feet during/after a 35-mile run?
Also…We love the Biggest Loser. Me and my 2 boys watch it every week. Jillian Michaels does a weekly radio show in California that is interesting (though a little too heavy on the organic stuff for my liking). To listen go to: http://www.kfi640.com/pages/podcasting/
Enjoying your blog!!!
Suzanne. I will email you my answers. But for now, I wanted to say and I will probably get attacked big time, I DON’T EVER BUY ORGANIC OR NATURAL AND I DON’T BELIEVE THAT IT IS USEFUL. I just don’t think I need to pay more for food that is mostly labled a particular way due to marketing and moving food products.
….running away franticly to find a place to hide…… 🙂
LOL No need to run…opinions are like rear ends, everyone has ’em. Some have more opinions than others. Some have more of a rear end than others too. 😉
HAHAHAHAHA! 🙂 This comment made me chuckle. I loved it.
