Pics of #24 and #25.

I might be heavier than before but I can still run a marathon or ultra. LOL.  Here are some pics from my last two races.

Sun Mountain 50K

Stopped at the Glass Museum in Tacoma on the way to Winthrop, WA for my 24th marathon or longer race: Sun Mountain 50k

This was one of the most beautiful courses I have ever run. The natural and native vegetation was awesome to look at as I ran the trails. Here is a pic of the river along the trail

This is main street Winthrop, WA. It is a really neat town that has been transformed into a total western look. We walked around and ate dinner the night before the race. It was really nice.

Stayed at a place called Mt. Gardner Inn. It is a very small privately owned motel but man was it nice and comfy.

A cool and rainy start had me with two layers up top. The trail was not muddy though so that was REALLY nice. The race was both a 50 mi and a 50k. This is the 50k start.

FINALLY coming into the finish line. I got lost three times and one of those times was only a 1/2 mile from the finish. Then I turned around ran 20 minutes in the other direction met up with some people, then had to run back to the finish AGAIN! It was a tough race.

Pacific Crest Marathon

On the way to Sunriver for the marathon we stopped at this really neat cliff. It had a low wall around it and a beautiful bridge. It was a great pit stop and I had to take a pic of this sign. It cracked me up.

There are many deer in Sunriver. This one was just grazing in the yard of the house we stayed at. Obviously they are somewhat tame.

Just some of the scenery from the marathon course at the Pacific Crest Marathon

Horse back riders on the marathon course. Dusty but kind of a neat surprise to break up the run.

Sunriver village is crowded and hopping with people during the big "athletes" weekend. Here is the entrance into the village. There are many many events for everyone during this weekend each year.

The good 'ole medical tent. Hopefully not many had to use this.

Spent some time at the pool after the race. It too was very crowded but perfect for people watching fun!

Thank God for the support van.! HAHAHAHA

Finisher's chute. Muscle milk makes me throw up after a long run or race.

Pacific Crest Marathon start on a crisp and sunny morning. Decided to listening to music for this one which I normally don't

I'm waiting to get this thing going. Not nervous for this one much. It's funny how a marathon JUST seems like a normal run now.

Coming into the finishing chute. Thank GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
