This page contains all of the questions and answers that I have received in my Q&A posts. There is a lot of good information in those posts so rather than letting them getting buried in the blog, I decided to make a page dedicated to the wonderful questions that iI have received. If you have a question that is not answered on this page, leave you question as a comment and I will do a post on it and put it up on the blog for all to see. Here are the questions that I have received so far (and there answers).

I did worry about getting thin sometimes but not to much. I have fears now for sure and I will share them
Yesterday I ran a 10.2 mile Trail Race (2,000 ft of elevation gain) and worked pretty darn hard to finish strong. Today I am super sore — my quads were not used to this particular kind of pounding and I posted a 1 pound gain this morning at weigh in. I was not exactly perfect with my food but I was only over 7.5 points for the week so I did not eat enough to gain 1 lb of fat.
I read that one can gain 2-4 pounds in water retention when muscles are sore and I sure hope that was the case.
Do you have any experiences with how some of you hard runs/races have affected your weigh-in’s?
Thanks!
Seujan
Hey Seujan. I will do a post on this subject. I emailed you a personal answer.
I’m training for my first 1/2. Like you, I’m an all or nothing kind of person so in the next 9 months I have a couple of 5Ks and 10Ks, possibly a 13K, 3 half marathons and a marathon. I’ve been running shorter races since I started running last year, 11 5Ks, a 4 miler and 2 10Ks (basically every race I could find that was close.) I haven’t lost but about 5 pounds since I started running. In the last 2 months I’ve added strength training and cross training hoping it would jump start my weight loss. I had lost 30 pounds in about 5 months leading up to my decision to start running. I still have 32 to go to hit the top of the mid range of my healthy weight bracket. I can not lose! I have been on this plateau for 10 months. I do not eat fried foods, I try to eat clean, focusing on fruits, veggies, nuts and lean meats. I try to stay away from processed foods. I stay in my calorie range of 1200-1800 calories (high end is usually on run days.) Do you have any words of wisdom???
Dragonfly: I will send you an email about this.
