Big change (of opinion) on the biggest loser

the-biggest-loserWow! Wow! Wow!  I have had a huge change of heart regarding the contestants on the biggest loser.  I have had a complete change of who I wanted to win the show.  First, let me quickly recap on last weeks show since I have not been on the blog to much lately.

Last week my favorite got voted off and for good reason: KRISTEN WAS A BIG THREAT!  Last weeks show was also were my shift in contestant favorites began to happen.  It all started with Mike’s comments during the vote.  A new “cockyness” came out of him that I don’t recall seeing before.  He said that he had it in the bag to win the show.  That did it for me.  I no longer wanted Mike to win. I did not like this attitude but I will admit that this is the attitude that it takes to win.  It is just not the attitude that you blurt out for all others to hear.  I believe that he is young and just doesn’t really get that little social rule that you don’t bring others down in order to bring yourself up.  It is great that he believes that he will take it all home and he probably will, but he didn’t have to display this for all to see.  Mike lost my vote that night.  His dad, as you have all warned me, is a sneaker sucker and I don’t know how I missed that for the whole season.  I did not agree with any of you until last weeks show.  At the same time he is being the best dad he can be by trying to help his son get to the top.  What parent wouldn’t want the best for their child.  HAHAHA  Well, I guess Helen is one of those parents who didn’t want the best for her child. I mean hell, she voted off her own kid under the deceptive mask of “she can do it at home”!!!  So last week I shifted to Philipe as my favorite and Tara actually started to grow on me a little.  Can you believe it????????????

This week was wonderful to see the external and internal rewards of exercise and diet.  I was so happy for Ron’s victory in the medicine department even if he is a master mind manipulator as far as game play goes.  Tara displayed once again that she is a mighty warrior as a competitor as she “pulled her weight” to victory at the final challenge.  Boy, the true colors are really coming out.  What are people there for.  It appeared to me that Philipe was the only contestant who still had the “right reason” mind set intact.  I loved him for this.  After all the game play, all the weight lost, all the trials; he still maintained the focus that he started with.  He accomplished what he set out to do: Change his life and the lives around him.  He had all the contestants in tears as they were humbled by his glorious humility and heart.  They wished that they were there for the right reasons too I believe.  I don’t blame them though, I would be playing the game to so that is just another reason why I really liked what Philipe had to say.  He is a good man.

So now who do I want to win????????  Believe it or not, as I have to choose between three people who even have a chance to win (Ron has no chance of to win the show and would throw it for the sake of his son even if he had the chance), I want Tara to win now.  I just don’t want Mike to win anymore.  I like to see the “COCKY” people go down and the humble rise up.  Although Tara nor Helen are all that humble, I think Tara has made great strides in realizing the life change possible by what she is doing.

In the end however, I think Mike will take the prize and I only hope that his perspective can change.  Right now his motives are all mixed up.

Ahhhh we must disagree….although Tara is a great competetor, she is too fakey fake. I can chalk MIkes attitude up to his youth and immaturity and how crazy good it must feel to finally be at a healthy palce in life after never having had that before. This body, tis way of thinking, this life is ALL so very new to him AND he is only 18…so I can give him some slack on his rising cockiness….Ron we agree on…no chance for him to win and doenst deserve to be there, unless the goal of the game is to out wit, out play and out last all the others…which it is not. We also agree on Helen…

    GO MIke!

Now I agree with you 100%! Helen, although her weight loss is phenomenal, and she’s my age, and she from the pink team that won the last two seasons, is still a fake, to me. Every thing she says on TV seems staged and planned, not from the heart, but from the head. I connect so much better with people who speak from the heart. Tara has always been my favorite. I think she has a good heart, and yes, she’s a competitor, I still think she will inspire people. If she wins it will be interesting to see what she does with the fame and fortune. If Mike wins, I also wonder what he will do. I wonder if he’s just not after the money for a nest egg – which is fine – or if he’ll do something honorable with his weight loss and experience and winnings. I do think Filipe will do great – I loved that he started an exercise camp with his family and felt horrible that his dad had a stroke. What a wake up call for them. Sad.

By the way, I bought Jillian’s new book, “Master your metabolism”. So far a very good read. Not a fast one, but good.

Im still giddy because Kristen is gone.(SMILE)But I still want Mike to win and I agree it is his newfound body and life that makes him cocky, but hes still a good kid and I believe he will share the money and his knowlege of losing weight with others, especially his little brother.Mike has been a good person thru the whole show and he has been giving of others,he must get it from his mom cause its not coming from ron we know.It must be very scary and yet very exciting at the same time to get a whole new body at 18 in just a few weeks, maybe we would all be just a little proud too and say things we really dont mean.

You are right. i certainly could see myself at 18-19 yrs old saying some offensive things too.

One thing that I have always liked about Ron and Mikey is that they have always said right up front what they are doing. Ron has never said anything besides I’m here to see my son win it. Yes he’s been a little sneaky here and there, but that has always been his goal. And if people had a problem with Ron why didn’t they boot his butt off when he was below the yellow line 6 different times. I have watched every season of this show and as far as the game playing goes there has never been anyone that has just said, “This is why I am here and this is what I am doing.” I really have appreciated that this season and again like I said the contestants had 6 different chances to get rid of Ron.

Yes, Mikey was a little cocky and it was in bad taste to say that in front of everyone, but he is young. What boy his age isn’t cocky. This week when his comment was brought up by the hostess he did say, “Well, I’m hoping I can win.” I think he realized he shouldn’t have said it.

The day Helen sacrificed her own child to stay at the ranch was the day I stopped rooting for her. I am happy that she is doing well, but how she did that to her own child really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Tara is doing AWESOME. I will not take that away from her, but what turned me off to her was how she treated her partner early on and put her down way too much. She has been cocky herself along the way too. I admire how hard she is working and I do think that things have really clicked for her as far as the emotional stuff.

I have always said that I wanted either Mikey or Kristen to win, so with Kristen gone I now want Mikey. That has not changed, however, I will be fine if Tara wins it too. She and Mikey deserve it the most out of the 4 that are left.

    Ok, I’m done now. 🙂

I have never liked helen, worse Mom of the year award. Plus I think she is mean. Tara has worked very hard, tried to suport and carry her teammate and did not eat a cookie just to hut another person. (Helen did) Tara has been an honest player from the beginning. I am so sick of Ron. Why is he still around. OMG, go away Ron.
